Wellness is the pursuit of mastery of one's physical and mental well-being and developing the motivation to sustain wellness.
Either by calling our EAP/Work-Life line or our Health Coaches directly, your employees and members can access professionals who are dedicated to providing personalized wellness coaching, education, and referral services. Chestnut Global Partners' (CGP) approach is grounded in our vast knowledge of applied behavioral science and we recognize the behavioral tenets in lifestyle induced health problems and chronic conditions. Our coaches have backgrounds in the behavioral fields and are skilled in motivational interviewing, cognitive reframing, and realistic goal setting. We derive our strength from the optimal use of trained behavioral intervention professionals, an area where we have over 35 years of experience.
In addition to behavioral intervention professionals, our Team includes dieticians, diabetes educators, and fitness instructors. These resources are fully integrated into the health coaching process.
Our Health Coaches can help by motivating members to:
- Lose weight
- Eat healthy
- Stop smoking
- Get fit
- Manage stress and anxiety
- Manage alcohol intake
- Improve sleep hygiene
- Decrease cholesterol
Health Coaching Process
Member provides background data through an online or telephonic health and lifestyle assessment. This assessment begins the coaching relationship and an employee is providing with their own personal coach who will work with them throughout their participation in the program.
During the first session, the member identifies priorities and develops a personal wellness vision and goals with a concrete plan to get there.
In subsequent sessions (each week or month), the member and coach review progress, explore and resolve pressing issues, and agree on goals for the following session.
